AUDIOBIND v1.2: TRUE AUDIO MIRRORING & VISUAL CANVAS

A NEW ERA OF AUDIO ROUTING

AudioBind Version 1.2 is here, and it marks a monumental shift. What started as a simple screen-based utility to route audio per monitor has evolved into a pro-grade audio routing engine. We listened to your feedback. You wanted to split your sound without latency. You wanted to hard-lock specific apps regardless of where they were on your screen. You wanted a clearer visual representation of your setup.

We tore down the limitations of Windows and rebuilt AudioBind from the ground up to deliver exactly that.

TRUE AUDIO MIRRORING (WASAPI ANTI-DRIFT ENGINE)

Windows naturally refuses to output a single application's audio to multiple devices simultaneously without third-party virtual cables. That wasn't good enough for us.

In v1.2, we introduced True Audio Mirroring. We built a custom WASAPI continuous byte-buffering engine with hard latency limits (what we call our anti-drift engine). Now, you can natively route audio to your primary device with zero latency, and AudioBind seamlessly mirrors the capture stream to your secondary devices.

PERSISTENT APPLICATION RULES

Previously, AudioBind relied strictly on monitor-based logic. But sometimes, you want Discord to always play through your headset, even if you drag the Discord window over to your secondary monitor to read chat while gaming.

With Persistent Application Rules, you can assign a hard rule to a specific executable (e.g., `discord.exe`). App Rules override all Monitor Rules, locking the application to the assigned DAC or speaker indefinitely.

THE VISUAL MONITOR CANVAS

We've completely overhauled the Settings UI. The new Visual Monitor Canvas queries Windows for physical screen resolutions and relative coordinates, drawing a proportional map of your physical desk setup right in the app.

No more guessing whether your left screen is "DISPLAY1" or "DISPLAY2". The settings menu visually matches what you see on your desk, making it intuitively obvious. Combined with our custom asynchronous Native App Picker that fetches application icons from the Windows Registry in the background, AudioBind now feels more premium and native than ever before.

BULLETPROOF STATE MANAGEMENT

We also squashed a critical bug where returning an application to "System Default" would leave it trapped in an active audio mirror. The background daemon now proactively enforces default flushes when rules are removed, seamlessly handing the app back to the standard Windows mixer without a hitch.
